Calder On ‘Fascinating Atlantic Outpost’

March 9, 2012

Popular British travel writer Simon Calder tells his countrymen that spring in Bermuda is the equivalent of summer in the UK, encouraging them to visit a “fascinating Atlantic outpost” which combines “colonial history and great beaches.”

In his “48 Hours” column appearing in the “Independent” newspaper today [Mar.9], Mr. Calder says there was plenty to see on his recent two-day visit.

He  recommended British visitors seek out Bermuda attractions as diverse as St. Peter’s Church and the Masterworks Museum Of Bermuda Art in the Botanical Gardens.

Mr. Calder was in Bermuda last month to report on the island for his award winning “48 Hours” column.
