Phillips Named Golf Player Of The Week
Bermuda’s Mark Phillips — a college student at the University of South Carolina — has been named the Sun Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for matches played March 12-18, 2012.
Phillips continued his strong spring with his first collegiate victory, winning the Sand Shark Classic by three strokes to help USCB claim the team title at the event held at Chechessee Creek Club. Phillips shot a four-over 214 (71-73-70) to win the tournament, finishing first out of 70 golfers.
