13 races were held over three days. Georgetown University, Roger Williams University and Yale University were the top three teams out of the 18 school competing.

Bermuda resident and former BODA Optimist Champion, Sean Bouchard helped his team place second overall. His school, as the second place team, won the Oxford University Trophy. Alec Anderson of the US Virgin Islands sailed in the A fleet and Bouchard sailed in the B fleet. Both Roger Williams’ skippers placed third overall in their respective divisions. Bouchard sailed a consistent regatta having won two races and had only a single finish outside of the top 9 in the 13 races sailed.

This was Bouchard’s final collegiate event having just graduated Cum Laude from Roger Williams University with a double major in Environmental Science and Legal Studies. Bouchard has enrolled in Roger Williams University School of Law to pursue a joint JD and Marine Affairs degree commencing in August 2012.

At the conclusion of the event, the annual ICSA Awards and All American Team Banquet was held. Bermuda sailors Sean Bouchard of Roger Williams University and Joshua Greenslade of St Mary’s University were both named ICSA Honorable Mention Coed All-American sailors. Earlier in the week Greenslade was one of three skippers who helped his team secure second place in the ICSA/APS National Team Race Championship.
