Sandys Boat Club Fitted Dinghy Racing Results
The Sandys Boat Club hosted Bermuda Fitted Dinghy racing in Mangrove Bay yesterday [Aug 26], with a short and exciting course greeting the four skippers and crew.
Contest III skippered by Somers Kempe won the first race of the day in the C.T. Fowle Cup race that only saw two of the four boat cross the line. Victory IV skippered by Mark Soares finished second while Elizabeth II skippered by Jon Nicholls and Challenger II with Paul Fisher at the helm both sank.
Race two was for the 50th Anniversary Cup. Challenger II crossed the line first after getting around the first mark ahead of the fleet. Contest III finished second and Elizabeth II finished third. Victory IV broke their mast and was unable to finish.
Contest III won the BMM Trophy Race with Elizabeth II coming second. Victory IV finished third and Challenger II finished fourth.
