Kempe & Patton To Compete In Ireland

Sebastian Kempe and Campbell Patton are scheduled to represent Bermuda at the 2026 ILCA 7 Men’s World Championship in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, with racing scheduled to begin today [Tuesday].

The official entry list includes 141 sailors, with both Bermudian competitors entered in the ILCA 7 fleet.

According to the official Notice of Race, the programme calls for two back-to-back races on each of the first five racing days, followed by the final and medal series on Sunday. The ten highest-ranked sailors at the end of Saturday’s racing are scheduled to advance to the medal series.

In addition to Bermuda, the field also includes sailors from Argentina, Australia, the Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, China, Hungary, India, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Saint Lucia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Seychelles, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Chinese Taipei, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and the United States. Two additional competitors are entered as Individual Neutral Athletes.
