Photos: Rain Causes Flooding Islandwide
A sudden and heavy downpour this afternoon [Sept 14] caused flooding in various locations through the island, with cars being partially covered with water on various roads and multiple stores having their interiors flooded.
The Bermuda Weather Service explained that a very active thunderstorm cell passed directly over the Island from approximately 2-3pm this afternoon. The gale force winds that hit the island caused the Norwegian Star cruise ship in Dockyard to partially break away from its moorings, and two airplanes to abort their first attempt at landing.

it wasn’t an amount of rain too far out of the ordinary – need to improve infrastructure in several areas.
Hi Deborah. I am so glad that Bermuda didn’t sustain serious damage. But all of you reading this should get some brown paper and some clear packing tape. Get your Bibles out and write Psalm 12 on the brown paper. Make sure all of the punctuation is in the proper place. And make sure that you don’t make any mistakes. Don’t make any scratch marks and don’t draw a line thru any of the words. IT HAS TO BE WRITTEN PERFECTLY!!! Then after you finish writing Psalm 12 on the brown paper, (paper bag) you need to put the tape around edges of the brown paper. Make the dimensions of the paper just big enough to accommodate Psalm 12. Now, you have to make sure that you put the tape on the paper on a clean dry surface. Now you’re also going to have to make sure the space up above your front door to your home is clean and dry. Now you have to tape Psalm 12 up over your front door. And leave it up over your door. That will protect you and your loved ones and your home.
