Norris Simpson Murder Trial Gets Underway

The trial of 54-year-old Norris Albert Simpson got underway in the Supreme Court this morning [Jan 14] with jury selection. Mr Simpson is charged with murdering former social worker Ida James.

Ms James, 66, was found dead at her Berry Hill Road home in Paget in September 2011, and Simpson was arrested later that month. Simpson has denied killing Ms James in a previous Court appearance.

    Where are the crude remarks for this ‘alledged murderer?’ Is it because this case is NOT as SENSATIONAL as the ‘gang war?’ Murder is MURDER Bermuda!! Does NO ONE care that Miss James was a VERY RESPECTED and RESPECTFUL woman who gave of her time and money to those in NEED???

    I just don’t understand. Why was this woman killed? Why so much killing? We need the death penalty, we shouldn’t have to live with murderers.
