Video/Results: Women’s Field Hockey Games
The Budgies, Longtails and Swallows all won victories during Sunday’s [Jan 13] field hockey action at the National Sports Center.
Budgies 2 Ravens 1
Keishea Robinson scored a Field Goal in the 22nd minute to give the Budgies the lead, but Georgia Harris equalized for the Ravens scoring a Field Goal in the 41st minute. In the 56th minute Robinson scored from a Penalty Corner to earn the Budgies a 2 – 1 win.
Longtails 4 Cardinals 2
The Cardinals went in front in the 13th minute when Ieasha Castle scored a Field Goal, the Longtails were level in the 31st minute when Maya Palacio scored a Field Goal. Six minutes later the Longtails were in the lead when Palacio scored her second Field Goal of the game, Candy Foggo drew the Cardinals level when she scored from a Penalty Corner in the 50th minute, but Palacio put the Longtails back in front when she scored her third Field Goal of the game, but she was not finished as she scored her fourth Field Goal of the game in the 64th minute as the Longtails won 4 – 2.
Swallows 4 Canaries 0
Dani Williams scored Field Goals in the 16th and 38th minutes as the Swallows took a 2 – 0 lead. Amber Wilson put the Swallows ahead 3 – 0 in the 44th minute scoring a Field Goal and then Jen Khale scored from a Penalty Corner in the 60th minute to earn the Swallows a 4 – 0 win over the Canaries.
