[Updated] The Bermuda Fire Service and police attended the Quickie Lickie Laundromat on Serpentine Road earlier this afternoon. On arrival, Fire Service personnel were seen in an area located at the rear of the building. Fire investigators arrived a short time later and could be seen inspecting large dryers located in a back room.

Signs of soot can be seen staining the front of one of the dryers. Customers appeared to wait patiently outside as the fire service conducted their investigation. Details about this incident are limited, however we will update with official information as able.

How many cops does it take to look at a dryer fire?

    Dryers older than my granny…

Maybe an upgrade is in order?

That laundromat is in dire need of an overhaul, and has been for a long time. Dryers not heating enough to dry your clothes completely or not working at all for weeks on end. It’s very unfair when people have no choice but to go to the place and the management doesn’t have the decency to keep it properly maintained.

That place is the pits… Your clothes spend more time in the spin mode the the wash…

Is this the same “Quickie Lickie” my dad goes to every Tuesday and Friday evening?

He always says they have a good rinse and spin cycle, sometimes even ring-em-out to dry…is this true?
