April 23, 2013

The Alliance Francaise des Bermudes will host its next event at 8pm on Saturday May 4th at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club, where Tommy Gagnon — a French Canadian artist — will perform a compilation of some of the greatest French hits such as “Rosie” from Francis Cabrel and “Heureux d’un printemps” from Paul Piché .

A spokesperson said, “In line with our mission to promote French culture, we are delighted to give the Bermudian community the opportunity to enjoy the French musical performance of this young talented artist from the city of Rimouski in Québec, who has been performing with its guitar from Montréal to Gaspé since 2006. The renowned Bermudian Tony Bari will also be participating at the event.”

The Alliance Francais des Bermudes is a charity that has existed in Bermuda for over 40 years to promote and celebrate the French language and culture. It provides five student scholarships every year to France for a summer French immersion course.

The tickets for the event are on sale at Pulp & Circumstance for $35. For more information please contact contact@alliancefrancaise.bm
