Injured Passenger Transferred Off Cruise Ship

A male passenger on board the outbound cruise ship Explorer of the Seas had to be transferred off the ship on Saturday [May 18] after suffering a head injury.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “On Saturday 18th May at approximately 4.17pm, the outbound cruise ship Explorer of the Seas requested medical transfer for a male passenger who had suffered a head injury.

“Transfer of the gentleman and his wife was conducted by the pilot boat St David as the pilot disembarked off the east end. The patient was subsequently transferred by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.”
