Man Denies Holding Knife To Girlfriend’s Throat
A 27-year-old man appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [May 6] where he denied assaulting his girlfriend and holding a knife to her neck.
Jahroy Simons pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting the female, and of using threatening words to her while holding a knife to her neck. Both incidents were alleged to have occurred in Devonshire earlier this month.
Simons pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawfully damaging property belonging to his girlfriend. He was remanded into custody until his trial in July.
