Upcoming: 10th Annual Bermuda Guitar Festival
The upcoming 2013 Bermuda Guitar Festival will feature four amazing concerts — and five acclaimed performers — when it gets underway next Thursday [May 30].
Featuring award-winning virtuoso and author Matt Palmer, Adam Rafferty, Louise Southwood, Stephen Crawford and Jeremiah Smith, the series of solo and ensemble performances will culminate in a gala concert showcasing the skills of Bermuda’s guitar students.
The concerts will be held at St. Andrews Church Hall on Church Street, Hamilton and tickets — at $30 each — are available at ptix.bm.
The tenth annual festival’s line-up comprises:
- 7:30 p.m. Thursday May 30 Stephen Crawford & Matt Palmer
- 7:30 p.m. Friday May 31 Louise Southwood & Jerremiah Smith
- 8 p.m. Saturday June 1 Adam Rafferty
- 5 p.m. Sunday June 2 Student Gala Concert
“We are celebrating the guitar in all it’s splendor with a concert series of solo and ensemble performances,” said Stephen Crawford, founder and organiser of the event. “In previous years these visiting artists have performed astonishingly memorable concerts and given stimulating lectures on many different topics.
