Nahki Wells Scores Twice In Today’s Game
[Updated with video] Bermuda’s Nahki Wells scored twice in today’s [Sept 14] match against Colchester United, and was also selected as Man of the Match.
Wells’ first goal in the 14th minute gave City the lead, however Colchester scored twice to take the lead by half-time. Wells clocked his second goal of the day in the 52nd minute to draw Bradford even, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
The 23-year-old Bermudian scored 26 goals last season, and started out this season with aplomb, scoring nine goals so far and being named as the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month.
If he gets 10% of an eventual transfer fee, dat byes gonna be rich!
Keep bang’em them in Ki…..
Well done got admire you keep it up your represent big time for bermy.
Wow – it seems as though Wells is unstoppable.
Any chance of getting him to Bermuda to speak to some of our young (and not so young) people who are feeling otherwise discouraged?
His professionalism, humble attitude, gratitude (which many of us lack),hard work, and dedication – speak volumes! He does not walk around like a big shot, or like life owes him something. He works and trains hard all year long. During the break, he was on island and I saw him entering the Olympic Club regularly. He did not stop bettering himself , when the season ended. Every goal in the net is a direct result of the extra hard work and great work ethic. I trust he learnt from some other greats like Mr. Goater, Best and Bascombe.
While it would be great to have him speak to these kids in person, I can assure you, the local kids are seeing and believing, and those that work hard will be rewarded.
Ready for the top flight! Adrian Robson, Clyde Best, watch!
Well done young man.
yo bra ya deady ive being told dat from wen u was coming thru towns youth ranks, nice to see u made it bra always new u could. dis ya boy play bemuda squad wif u an set up nuff goes for u wen u played for town! lol…. keep banging in those goals bra
Seriously brother.
Speak the English that your parents paid for.
That’s what u call Bermy street talk, its very common on de Island, was listening to a group of elderly Bermudians talking and they were talking Bermy lingo too . So mr. dealy keep on talkin de lingo its part of our culture, I talk it to when um wif de boys and when Im in a professional setting I can talk Proper English(whatever that is) but ya boys de guy, yes boss.
I got your back on this one.
Writing in dialect has a long, long history in literature (not that posting on Bernews is literature, just pointing to the precedent).
(Plus, I understood every word, so what’s the problem. It’s not Mr. Dealy’s fault that “Truth” doesn’t understand…
Folks…. Let’s remember that he does NOT play in the Premier Division of UK football – never-the-less I have asked Liverpool FC to have a “look” at him for the future if they think it is necessary!!! Yes… I have some contacts at the club as I have been a supporter for 45+ yrs – since the ays of **Bill shankly**!!!
Remember… Clyde Best did pretty good at West Ham United in the 60/70′s!!! Nobody since!!
Have you heard of Shawn Goater!!
Seems like he is the only news story rewarded with 100% positive comments. Thanks Nahki!
Nahki Wells is fast becoming an international football superstar; and the good news is that he is still maturing as a player. If he continues to produce like this his value as a future Premier League player will continue to rise.
He is a first class athlete and I wish him nothing but success in the future!!
