October 16, 2013

The Bermuda Fire Service attended a Warwick parish residence at approximately 9.55am on Tuesday [Oct 15] and found smoke emitting from an old dryer.

Clothes had caught on fire in the dryer before the Rocklands Road resident attempted to extinguish the flames with water. Two fire personnel in breathing apparatuses using a dry chemical extinguisher were able to put the fire out.

Under the direction of Lt. Shannon Caisey, fire personnel removed the dryer from the premises leaving the residence with light smoke damage.
