Driver Who Hit Parked Bikes Expected In Court

A 33 year old Sandys parish man has since been issued summonses for driving offences that include leaving the scene of a collision after striking nine parked vehicles on Parliament Street last Friday [Nov 22].

The driver struck a parked car and eight parked motorcycles, damaging all nine parked vehicles before leaving the scene.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 4:15pm on Friday, November 22nd police officers attended a reported damage only collision on Parliament Street in the City of Hamilton near the junction with Church Street.

“It appears that a car was being driven along Parliament Street when it apparently collided with a parked car and eight parked motorcycles, damaging all nine parked vehicles before leaving the scene. There were no injuries reported.

“However the car involved, also damaged in the collision, was subsequently located in the surrounding area and impounded while the driver, a 33 year old Sandys parish man, has since been issued summonses for driving offences that include leaving the scene of a collision.

“A court appearance is anticipated in due course.”

    Saw a forwarding truck parking and backed into on of COH fancy light post. Bumped it once and proceeded to knock it out the ground. Got out, looked at the fallen post and drove off. Around 11am mid-day.
