16 Year Old Arrested After High Speed Chase
A 16 year old male was arrested this afternoon [Jan 15] after taking police on a high speed chase through the Paget area before dropping his cycle and attempting to flee on foot.
A police spokesperson said, “A few minutes after 2pm today several Police Motorcycle Units were involved in a high speed chase from Rural Hill, South Road and it ended on St. Michaels Rd in Paget .
“The rider, a 16 year old male attempted to push a police motorcyclist off his motorcycle, he then failed to stop and eventually dropped his cycle and attempted to flee on foot.
“Due to the combination of assistance provided by St Michael’s Road area residents, a police K9 and additional police units called in to the area the suspect was apprehended and detained.
“It should be noted that the cycle was proven to be stolen and the rider was also under age, a court appearance is expected in due course.
“Police would like to take the opportunity to thank area residents for their assistance in locating the suspect.”
Thank Goodness no one was hurt.

Ok, he will be punished (and so he should), but he’s gonna have way more interesting stories to tell his grand-kids than the rest of you boring old f#$rts!! We still laugh at the antics of my teenaged brothers of 65+ years ago – and they became very respectable and highly thought of adults – with a lot of funny tales to recant of their youth. He was probably riding a 125cc bike (which you have to be 18 to drive. 16 year olds can only drive 50cc’s

He was riding a white plate motorcycle that you would need to be 18yrs+
The stolen bike was a 125 of unspecified italian brand, he crashed into my fence!
If it had been a fast Italian bike like a Ducati Superleggera or MV Agusta F4, I wonder if he would have got away?
I saw this chase, It was like watching a movie.
What in the hell possessed him to do all that?! Thank God no one was injured.

All credit to the Police for catching this young man on a stolen bike. But let’s face it, there have been plenty of young men who have done utterly foolish things as teenagers but have grown up to be law abiding citizens who learned their lessons well. Hopefully, getting caught will show this lad that he’s not invincible and there are consequences for doing stupidness.
This boy needs a good flogging, was he thinking of what danger he was causing to the public using the road and the police, he needs to taken off the road for life, now lets see who is such a big mocho man. ALL and not most, All ride by shootings are on stolen bikes. They are stolen and sold to people to commit crimes. They are also stolen for parts as the price of parts are way to high. Do you know World Distributors charge you even for the use of a rag to wipe off your bike while they are fixing it. Just telling you what I know!!!!
Rural Hill to St Michaels Road isn’t exactly a long chase. Back in my day I chased guys all over the place and didn’t even lose the cigarette in my mouth.
Don’t forget what 16 was like!!!! We ALL made stupid mistakes, if not that, others. He’s a teenager, come on. I am just glad the boy wasn’t hurt.
