Football Results: Corona League & First Division
A number of football games took place across the island this weekend, with footballers in the Corona League and First Division all seeing action with West End United, BAA, Tuff Dogs all recording wins.
Corona League
West End United 3 Vasco 2
The first match of the day in Corona League action saw West End United get two goals from Henry Santucci as they defeated Vasco 3 – 2. Matthew Carvelho also found the back of the net for West End united, while Kai Hollis and Ricardo Madeiros scored a goal each for Vasco.
BAA 2 Lock N Key 1
Chris Lima and James Cooney scored a goal each for BAA in their 2 – 1 victory over Lock N Key who got their lone strike from Chris Furbert.
Tuff Dogs 8 Valley FC 3
Marcel Dill led the Tuff Dogs to victory with a hat-trick, while Lamaul Crofton found the back of the net twice, while Aaron Browne, Wolde Place and Justin Robinson all added a goal each. Anthony Webb scored a hat-trick for Valley.
First Division
BAA 2 Somerset Eagles 1
Joshua Desilva scored a goal in each half to lead the home team BAA to a 2 – 1 victory over visiting Somerset Eagles at the BAA Field. Davin Riley-Clarke scored the lone goal for the visitors.
