Rider Injured In Cedar Avenue Road Collision

A two vehicle collision at the junction of Cedar Avenue and Beacon Street in Pembroke this morning [Feb 27] has left a motorcycle rider with injuries.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 9.00am on Thursday, February 27, first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Cedar Avenue and Beacon Street in Pembroke.

“It appears that a truck was exiting Beacon Street and a motorcycle was being ridden along Cedar Avenue when the collision occurred.

“The motorcycle rider, a 58-year-old Smith’s Parish man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check, he was recovering in stable condition on a general ward. There were no other injuries reported.

“Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Aaron Dyer on the main police telephone number at 295-0011.”
