Bermuda Football U/20 Draw 0-0 With Antigua

[Updated] The Bermuda U/20 Men’s football team is in the Dominican Republic for the CFU Under 20 World Cup Qualifiers, and are taking on Antigua & Barbuda today [June 29]

Bermuda was placed in Group 2, scheduled to play against Antigua & Barbuda, Guadeloupe, and host country Dominican Republic. The winners of each group and the two best second placed teams will advance to the final round in Trinidad & Tobago in September 2014.

They come into today’s game with a 1-1 record, with Bermuda having opened the tournament by defeating Guadeloupe 4-3 earlier this week and then going down to Dominican Republic 2-0.

Bermuda’s team includes Detre Bell, William White, Chae Brangman, Justin Corday, Jahquill Hill, Dakai Grant [captain], Zaire Burchall, Rai Simons, Quintonio Lema, Jibri Salaam, Kiuno Cann, Caldre Burgess, Alanzo Parsons, Justin Donawa, Tehvan Tyrell, Jaz Ratteray, Terrance Webb, Chikosi Basden, Calin Maybury, and Mauriq Hill.

The starting lineup for today’s match against Antigua is: J. Hill, T. Webb, M Hill, K Cann, T Tyrell. J Corday. D Grant, C. Basden, C Burgess, Z Burchall, and R. Simons.

Bermuda is not exactly at full strength today, with a number of players not available. Lema is out with a hamstring injury, White is out on suspension [yellow cards], Parsons is out on suspension [yellow cards], Maybury is out on suspension [red card] and Brangman is also out on suspension [red card].

The match is underway, and the score is presently 0 – 0. We will update as as able.
