Photos & Video: Health Foundation Award Lunch
Mrs. Bernella Williams was honoured at the Bermuda Health Foundation’s 12th Annual Salute to Service Awards Luncheon held recently at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel.
Mrs. Williams was chosen as this year’s recipient of the Salute to Service award for her contribution to the community through her service as a registered nurse and an ardent worker at the Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church.
At the same luncheon, Bermuda Health Foundation also presented scholarships to worthy Bermudians who are pursuing careers in the healthcare field.
This year’s recipients were Isaac James who is attending the University of Leeds and Jacqueline Simons who attends the Windsor University School of Medicine. Both recipients receive scholarships in the amount of $7,500.
Bermuda Health Foundation was founded in ten years ago by brothers Philip Butterfield, Vincent Hollinsid and former Premier Dr. Ewart Brown, along with their friend, the late K. Murray Brown, for the purpose of honouring Bermudians who have provided outstanding public service and providing scholarships for Bermudian students aspiring to careers in the medical field.
