Police Appeal For Witnesses After Shots Fired

June 18, 2014

The suspects who fired a gun at a jet ski in Warwick on Monday evening [June 16] are believed to have been riding a white scooter motorcycle, possibly a SYM HD 125 or Honda Scoopy, the police said.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident, and police continue to appeal for anyone with any information, photos, or videos to come forward.

A police spokesperson said, “Investigators continue to probe the shooting that took place at Darrell’s Wharf at about 7:55pm on Monday 16th June, 2014. Fortunately, there were no injuries or loss of life in this brazen attack.

“Appeals for witnesses to this event have been marginally successful for persons coming forward to provide accounts of the incident.

“We are pleased that some people have been brave enough to come forward and assist in bringing these offenders to justice, however more information is being sought – especially from persons who were on the cruise or the dock at the time of the incident.

“Detectives are particularly interested in receiving any video or photos [cell phone or otherwise] of the perpetrators or the persons on the jet ski that was the target of the shooters.

“Forensic evidence has been collected from the scene, and checks of CCTV in the area have also been completed. The process of reviewing this evidence has commenced.

“The shooters are believed to have been riding a white scooter motorcycle – possibly a SYM HD 125 or Honda Scoopy – on Harbour Road in Paget/Warwick. There were two men on this motorcycle, who are believed to have fired multiple shots at the persons on the Jet Ski off of Darrell’s Wharf in Warwick.

“Anyone with information, video, or photos & who may have seen the perpetrators is urged to make contact with the Serious Crime Unit on 247.1739 or 295.0011. Alternatively, information can be provided in confidence to CrimeStoppers on 800.8477.

Didn’t see it but I sure as heck heard it. Fortunately the tourist we have staying with us did not and is still blissfully unaware. I wasn’t going to say anything to him.

My thoughts are that everyone on the boat should’ve been interrogated (apologies given for time used) but this would give up whoever gave the riders the heads up!
I accept I could be wrong but I am sure things like this aren’t done bc like most other matters, its too much paperwork! :/

Fruity you are living in another world. Come join most other people in 2014 where people have certain rights, the Police have certain policies and there are certain laws that everyone must operate under. Paperwork has nothing to do with it. If that was the case, the police wouldn’t ever arrest anyone…..
