BFA Reveals Football Award Nominees

August 26, 2014

The Bermuda Football Association Awards Presentation is set to take place on Friday, August 29 at the Devonshire Recreation Club, beginning at 7.00pm.

A spokesperson said, “In order to select the award winners, each club Senior Coach or Technical Director was invited to submit one nominee from their team only for each of the categories listed below. They could not nominate a player from another team.

“Next, a list of all the nominees was compiled and sent to all the club coaches whereby they were invited to select up to three nominees from each category and rank their selections as one, two, and three, with one being the first choice.

“All first choice nominees receive five points, while second choice nominees receive three points, and third choice nominees receive one point.

“Coaches were only permitted to make selections in the Division which they compete. In other words, Premier Division coaches could not select nominees from the First Division. Likewise, the First Division coaches could not select nominees from the Premier Division.

“The winners of each category will be based on the nominee who receives the most points as selected by the coaches.

  3. Uncle Bob says:

The BFA is still confused on how to run….what ever happened to the all-star game they used to have at the half way break (January) up at Somerset Cricket Club…you would vote for the player you want ….smh at the BFA

Every time they bring in a foreign technical director things change for the worst…then revert back once the T.D. contract is over…..smh

  4. Kedavis says:

I agree that the women’s league should be back, you cant expect our women teams to play overseas if they don’t have an outdoor league like the men.
