Full Scorecard: 2014 Cup Match Cricket Game
Somerset Cricket Club won the 2014 Annual Cup Match Classic by 8 wickets after defeating St. George’s Cricket Club to keep the Cup in the west for another year. Needing to chase down 236, Terryn Fray scored an unbeaten century to guide the defending Champions to victory, and was named Man of the Match after scoring 121 not out.
Janeiro Tucker — aka “Mr Cup Match” — became the first player to win the ‘Safe Hands Award’ three times, as he won the title in its inaugural year 1998 and also won it in 2003. Tucker capped off a good two days after breaking the record for the most catches in Cup Match, setting a new mark of 26.
