The Bermuda Industrial Union hosted the 33rd Annual Labour Day Banquet at the Fairmont Southampton on Friday [Aug 29], with the theme of “Solidarity for Equality, Jobs, and Justice,” and former Premier Dr Ewart Brown serving as the guest speaker. The Labour Day celebrations continue today [Sept 1], with the road race set to kick off this morning, with the speeches and Labour Day march to follow.

Most of these people seem to be from the older generation because younger folk no longer fall for union stuff. The BIU will clearly be in trouble unless they can attract some new blood. You need younger members.
Most of de younger people are the ones who have been Bamboozled, de older ones experienced de hardship and fought and struggled so de younger people could have a better life.
But de younger people will realize sooner or later that all that their for fathers fought for will be snatched from under their feet and that may be too late.
