Report: Mansfield F.C. To Sign Reggie Lambe

September 11, 2014

Mansfield are set to offer Bermudian footballer Reggie Lambe a deal, according to a report from the Press Association Sport, who said they “understand” he will be offered a deal after impressing in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Worksop this week.

The report said, “Lambe, most recently with MLS team Toronto FC, has been on trial with the Stags and impressed in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Worksop this week – scoring two goals in a 3-1 victory. Former Plymouth defender Durrell Berry also featured as a trialist against the non-league side.

“Manager Paul Cox revealed at his pre-match press conference on Thursday that he hoped to start negotiations with an unnamed player who played in the MLS last season, and it is thought that player is Lambe.”

Mansfield Town Football Club is based in Nottinghamshire and competes in League Two.

Lambe moved back to Europe in March, signing a short-term deal with Swedish outfit Nykopings. Prior to that, the Bermuda international played for the Toronto Football Club in Canada, where he made 66 combined appearances, scoring five goals, and added four assists in two seasons.
