It’s obvious. Bermuda roads are not safe. There’s no willingness by us to change our driving habits, and the Minister of Transportation (and his predecessors) have done little but pay lip service to the issue.
Please explain to me how, due to the information in the article, you can say that “Bermuda roads are not safe”? I didn’t read how the road dramatically “moved” OR “changed magically” when this lady drove in the area.
People need to be responsible for their driving – - simple.
The roads are not safe because of primarily poor driving. Apologies for any confusion generated by my second sentence.
Yes our roads are not safe… There are too many reckless drivers out on the road that shouldn’t have a license to drive.
the roads are FINE. It’s the drivers that are not safe.
Tell me more about how the Minister of Transportation is responsible for idiot drivers….
The Minister of Transport and the Police have a responsibility to enforce the rules of the road and promote safe driving. Bad drivers need to be taken off the road. Or should they just let them have at it until the country’s nothing but wreckage about the place and our vehicle insurance rates quadruple?
I have always been of the opinion that anyone taking a driving test should have to drive on harbor road.I have seen to many people driving suv’s on that road that have no judgement as to where their vehicle should be placed in relation to the lines on the road.Having driven and ridden on harbour road for almost 50 years it just gets worse and worse.
Our roads have an awful lot of mexican pepper push traffic together on both sides,we obviously have cut it back along with hedges and shrubs from peoples yards, that by rights are the land owners responsibility up to 9-10ft……govt. needs a code officer and code pertaining to and not including other endangerment issues.Tell the land owner to trim or do the job and charge them your time.
