IWC Donate $1,760 To ‘Keep Bermuda Buzzing’

The International Women’s Club Bermuda recently presented a cheque for $1,760.00 to assist BEST’s Keep Bermuda Buzzing campaign.

A spokesperson said, “With the bee population being dealt another blow with the recent hurricanes and the loss of local habitats and flora, the work of BEST’s [Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce] Keep Bermuda Buzzing Campaign is of increased importance in educating communities in how to protect our bees.

“Following an approach from BEST earlier in the year, the International Women’s Club, Bermuda [IWC] had already selected this campaign as the beneficiary of its fund raising cruise on the UberVida. It was with great pleasure that IWC Philanthropy Chair, Alexandra Nelson, was able to present Kim Smith of BEST, a cheque for $1760.”
