Premier’s Condolences: Death Of Dr. Munroe

Myles-Munroe-RIPLast night the Premier and Minister of National Security Michael Dunkley extended condolences following the passing of Rev. Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth.

Rev Munroe and his wife were among nine people who died when a private Lear jet crashed on approach near Grand Bahama International Airport on Sunday [Nov 9].

The Premier confirmed that he had spoken to the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Perry Christie to offer condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Bermuda following the sudden and tragic deaths of Rev. Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth.

Premier Dunkley said, “This afternoon, I had an opportunity to speak to Prime Minister Christie and convey our sincerest sympathies.

“I shared with the Prime Minister that Dr. Munroe was a great friend of Bermuda and an inspirational figure across the world.

“The tragic passing of this international man of God will be greatly felt, and here in Bermuda, we are keeping the family and friends of Dr. Munroe and the people of the Bahamas in our thoughts and prayers.”

Opposition Leader Marc Bean has also extended his “heartfelt and most sincere condolences to our relatives and friends in the Bahamas, friends and family of Rev. Dr. Myles Munroe, and to the nation of Bahamas, who mourn this tragic loss.”
