Rugby Classic: Argentina & New Zealand Win
The 2014 World Rugby Classic continued at the National Sports Centre last night [Nov 10] with a total of 52 points was put on the board between the four teams playing on the second night of the tournament.
Argentina 28 – Canada 14
An entertaining opener went down to the wire with Argentina defeating Canada 28 – 14. The two teams traded tries and conversions in the first half that ended 14-14, but Argentina was able to get the all-important go ahead try in the second half that proved to be the winner and then they scored again in the closing minutes to earn the win.
Argentina got tries from Maximiliano Nannini, Bernardo Stotoni, Lucas Borges and Julio Brolese, while Fererico Todeshini and Felipe Felipe Contepomi kicked 2 conversions each. Canada got a try from Derek Daypuck and Morgan Williams, while Daypuck also registered 2 conversions.
France 0 – New Zealand 17
The second match of the night saw the most excitement saved for the New Zealand Haka. New Zealand shutout their opponents from France recording a 17 – 0 win.
New Zealand got tries from Charles Hore, Bruce Reilhaa and Craig Ireland, while Ireland kicked two conversions for the win.
