City Extends Congratulations On Cup Bid

The City of Hamilton have congratulated Bermuda on our winning bid to host the 2017 America’s Cup, saying that the “America’s Cup Event Authority and local organizing committee have the full support and assistance of the City for any necessary requirements.”

Mayor Graeme Outerbridge said, “On behalf of the City of Hamilton and Council Members, it’s our pleasure to congratulate the hard work and efforts spent by our Government and Tourism Authority in Bermuda winning the bid to host the 35th Edition of the America’s Cup in 2017.

Mayor Outerbridge added, “The America’s Cup Event Authority and Local Organizing Committee have the full support and assistance of the City for any necessary requirements. To ensure the success of Bermuda as the host venue full support from our community is required.”

    Clean streets
    Sensible parking
    Roads without trenching
    No clamping our seniors
    Paved roads
    Proper governance
    Less Autocratic rulings
    Synchronized traffic lights
    Less road sweeping machines parked on the sidewalk all day
    A few hundred less parking sign poles making the town look awful 15 on Par La Ville between Church and Front St alone…stupid!
    Clean the bus terminal once every few years
