Videos: “Bermuda Inspired” Food Highlights
A visitor released a two-part video series detailing the time he spent on the island, with the culinary focused videos — which were produced in partnership with Bermuda Tourism Authority — attracting over 120,000 views in under two weeks.
Byron Talbott, the personality behind the “Life Tastes Good” blog, visited the island with his wife, giving both of them the opportunity to explore and experience many unique Bermuda offerings, with a focus on some of the island’s unique foods.
Bermuda Inspired – Part 1
The first part of the series includes a close-up look at Watson’s Farm, a part of his trip that Mr. Talbott calls “an amazing experience. The video continues on to touch on topics including bee-keeping, food preparation at The Reefs, and Bermudian cooking in general.
The second part of the series features a visit to Tribe Road Kitchen, a look at Bermuda artwork at Masterworks, and dinner at Fourways Inn, ending a tour of the island that paints a very positive picture of Bermuda’s relationship with food.
Bermuda Inspired – Part 2
Mr. Talbott’s commitment to good work in the kitchen is evident on his website, where he says, “I’m a long-time chef and I love what I do. This site is all about making memories with food and learning how to work in a clean kitchen environment.
“Presentation shouldn’t only apply to the finished recipe, but should be implemented throughout the preparation of the dish. A clean kitchen, clean food, and a clear mind is a true recipe for a memorable meal.”

Can you investigate how much he was paid for his services????
Don’t hold your breath. I want to know how one is selected by a tourist destination to receive a paid, all expenses covered holiday to document some local food. I can even pretend to be a foriegner if needed. Dodwell’s hotel got a free plug of course.
If you’re that bothered, why don’t you find out?
I thought this was nicely done. I didn’t realize I can purchase wadsons farm vegetables & honey right from their establishments. I’ll look into doing that.
For those of you about to moan about this and how much money was spent to bring a chef to BDA and do a video……welcome to the new economy! Yes that’s right….while you’ve been drowning in BDA politics and gossip, the rest of the world has grown beyond our petty in-fighting.
You can have a website these days and influence people with it and make money off it – that includes chefs. I wonder ho many followers and views that guy gets? Probably a lot if he was asked to come to a destination and do a segment on a country’s food! Get with it, Bermuda.
Well done, BTA.
Why complain, this is one of the best adverts for Bermuda I have ever seen!
for sure it is so lovely and shows our island the way it should be down to earth, natural and yet full of enticing information…love it
