Photos/Video/Results: New Year’s Day Motocross

[Updated with video] Motocross racers took to the track on New Year’s Day, with high flying action seeing several class winners crowned, along with a few spills.

Jauza James won the 50cc class with a win, a second place finish, and a third place finish, while Rajae Whitter finished in second after hurting his knee but still being able to come out and win the final race. DeMiyza Trott rounded out the 50cc class in third position.

Lazai Outerbridge finished first after recording two wins and a third place finish in the 65cc class, while Moses Johnson finished second after finishing in second position three times, and Jadon Simmons finished third three times to claim that overall position.

In the B class, Zico Majors won all three races, while Ezra Matthie – the only other competitor in the class to finish all three races – finished the day in second.

Kennie Matthie and Shaki Smith finished two races each. Tariq Bell completed one race where he finished second, however he later crashed and was taken to the hospital for observation.
