BNA Netball Action Continues In Three Leagues
The Bermuda Netball Association recently saw several teams in action in the Under 12 Double Elimination Knock Out, Under 16 League, and Senior League.
Under 12 Double Elimination Knock Out
The Under 12 Double Elimination Knock Out saw several matches played, with results including:
- Young Men Social Club Bluebirds 5 – Warriors 3
- Signworx Netts White 17 – Young Men Social Club Bluebirds 0
- North Village Lady Rams 6 – Datatech Netts Green 4
- Datatech Netts Green 7 – Young Men Social Club Bluebirds 5
The North Village Lady Rams defeated the Signworx Netts White 9 – 7, with the Signworx Netts White going to the loser circle to play Datatech Netts Green, winning 11-3, sending the team back to the winning circle to play the North Village Lady Rams in the final.
An exciting final greeted the crowd as the Signworx Netts White won 6 – 2; however, because it was the North Village Rams first loss, the pair had to play again. In the second game, the Signworx Netts White held a 1 – 0 lead at the half, scoring twice in the second half and only allowing the North Village Rams to score once, winning the competition 3 – 1.
Under 16 League
The Young Men Social Club Bluebird Junior’s defeated PHC 33 – 8. PHC got five goals from Jahdeja Swan and three goals from Jaylen Stevens.
The Signworx Netts White defeated the Young Men Social Club Bluebird Young’uns 28 – 10. The Signworx Netts White were led to victory with 25 goals from Donnauri Robinson and three goals from Selah Tuzo. Zekiah Lewis scored seven goals and Tanzania Thomas added three goals for the Young Men Social Club Bluebird Young’uns.
The North Village Lady Rams edged the Datatech Netts Green 13 – 12. Kaamilah Nadir scored 11 goals and Maya Saunders scored once for the Datatech Netts Green.
Senior League
Danielle Raynor scored 52 goals to lead the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds to a 72 – 40 win over the Signworx Netts, fresh off winning the Bermuda Amateur Match Play Championships at the Mid Ocean Golf Course. Ebonie Burgess chipped in with 12 goals and Arkeita Fubler scored four times.
Donnauri Robinson scored 37 goals for the Signworx Netts, while Amali Smith scored three times.
The Young Men Social Club Blazzin Bluebirds defeated the WWC Pink Panthers 38 – 32. Fredricka Samuels led the Young Men Social Club Blazzin Bluebirds to victory with 32 goals, while Imani Smith added six goals. Nikitta Trott and Darricka Simons scored 16 goals each for the WWC Pink Panthers.
