Photos: Annex Toys Lego Building Competition

Over 70 children entered today’s [Mar 14] Lego Building competition held by Annex Toys, which offered a trip for two to Legoland, Florida as the grand prize, with 12-year-old Tristan Hill winning the grand prize for his masterpiece entitled ‘Battle of Colours’.

This year’s event received more than 70 entries from children aged 4 – 15 years, and all entries were first judged by a group of panelists who selected the top three of each age category based on creativity and originality. The nine finalists were asked to bring in their models for display and public vote from 12pm through 2pm today.

A broad selection of LEGO creations were on exhibit including: a snowmobile, dream house, lighthouse, alarm clock and Wipe Out course.

Customers, friends and family members were entertained by DJ iBreeze and Power Girl Trina who interviewed participants and started an Electric Slide for laughs. The Annex Toys and Phoenix Kidz offered a 20% discount on purchases during the LEGO event.

After counting more than 100 votes, the winners of each age category were presented gifts and Tristan Hill was announced as the grand prize winner of a trip for two to Legoland Florida for masterpiece entitled ‘Battle of Colours’.

  • 3rd – Jayden Marshall Masters

Category 7 – 10 Years

  • 1st – Daniel Larson
  • 2nd – Andrew Perry
  • 3rd – Maximo Deiros

Category 11 – 15 Years

  • 1st – Tristan Hill
  • 2nd – Camille Chin-Gurret
  • 3rd – Samuel Brangman
