MSA Set To Host Free Lunch On Saturday

April 24, 2015

Mount Saint Agnes Academy faculty and staff will be hosting a free Nutritious Healthy Lunch tomorrow, Saturday, April 25th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, to feed the hungry.

The free lunch is part of a Professional Development Day and was inspired by Matthew Kelly’s book, “The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic.”

Speaking of the event, Principal Sue Moench said, “We are excited to host this lunch and have received some generous donations from both Lindos and Marketplace. We are grateful for their support in helping us to feed the hungry.”

While faculty and staff will be serving lunch tomorrow, the entire school has been involved in preparing for the event in some way.

The Elementary have created paper table cloths with inspiring and welcoming messages, while Middle and High School students made “Socks of Love” filled with essential toiletries.

Soup, sandwiches, pasta, and an ice cream dessert will be served and entrance is through the main gate on Washington Street.

It’s extremely heart-warming to know that my Alma-mater has included a lunch for those in need as a integral component of their Professional Development day. The torch continues to be “passed and kept aglow…” Congrats to all of the Faculty, Staff and Students for making us proud to be a “Saint!” Go Blue & White!!!!
