63-Year-Old Man Injured In Industrial Accident

At approximately 9:53am this morning [May 3], the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] responded to a report of an industrial accident in the Dockyard area.

Fire Service spokesperson, Sergeant Jamal Albuoy said, “BRFS responded to the incident with our western appliance from Port Royal Station with 4 personnel, along with an ambulance.

“On our arrival, it was found that a 63 year male had sustained a back injury as result on the accident.

“He was immediately assessed and treated on scene by our EMTs and hospital personnel. The patient will be transported to hospital via ambulance for further medical attention.

“The severity of his injuries cannot be confirmed at this time. The incident is currently under investigation.”
