Car Collision In North Shore, Shelly Bay Area
[Updated with video] At sometime around 7.45pm this evening [May 25] a collision occurred on North Shore in the Shelly Bay area which resulted in the car going completely of the road.
Emergency personnel attended the scene, and remain on scene as of this writing. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update 9.10pm: The car has been removed, and traffic flow is back to normal in the area
Update May 26, 12.22pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 8pm on Monday, May 25th first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Green Bay Road.
“It appears that a car was being driven along North Shore Road when it collided with a utility pole.
“The driver, a 30 year old Hamilton parish woman and her female passenger were apparently treated at the scene by EMTs for minor injuries.
“The damaged vehicle was later towed from the scene. Inquiries regarding this collision continue and any witnesses should contact Constable Cletus Cyris at the Southside Police Station on telephone number 293-2222.”

Tragedy? How? Despite the driver’s best efforts, nobody was hurt. This is not what a tragedy is. Just stupidity that could have ended much worse for all involved.
That’s at least two complete write off vehicles this weekend…. way too many dark and stormies have been consumed.

If only Government would knock down the wall and make the railway part of the Shelley Bay stretch, then they could make it into a huge wide highway – then I’m sure people would go slower and drive safely.
