Stolen Vehicle Located In Hamilton Parish

The Toyota Rav4 that was reported stolen was found last night [May 7] in the Tom Moore’s Tavern area in Hamilton parish, and has been impounded by police as inquiries continue.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating a silver Toyota Rav4 bearing license plate number 19050 reported stolen sometime between 11pm Wednesday, May 6th and 5:15am Thursday, May 7th from outside an Astwood Road, Paget residence.

“The vehicle was later found in the area of Tom Moore’s Tavern in Hamilton parish around 9:45pm Thursday and impounded by police as inquiries regarding this matter continue.”

    This is not a stolen vehicle. To steal something you have to intend to permanently deprive the owner of it.
    As they left it to be found at Tom Moores then they did not intend to deprive the owner.
    This is no difference than someone taking an auxiliary cycle for a joyride.

      Well there’s a big difference there. Joy riding is an annoyance. Stripping it of parts is a serious issue.
