How many more of our visitors have to injure themselves in this way before we offer a small fleet of hire cars which can only be used between 9 and 4 and then after 6pm.

Honestly, if we’re going to offer cars, we shouldn’t have the time restrictions. Tourists won’t want to sit in rush hour traffic any more than you do. After all, you don’t see rental bikes that often in the rush, right?

I think we should offer cars for hire. Older, wealthier visitors have no desire to mess around on bikes. Using taxis everywhere is unfeasible. Allowing visitors a safe and reliable way to see the island on their own will improve their experience and make it more likely for them to come back.

Plus, if the cost of a hire car is something like $150 a day or more, we wouldn’t have too many people interested.

Thats why I dont agree that Tourist should rent bikes…its very dangerous for them n with all the traffic on the road…everytime i see them on the bikes I cringe cause most of them are unsteady, they cant handle them and clearly have no idea what they are doing or where they are going…its just so sad…its just not surprising at all..but I hope he pulls through and recovers soon.
