Police Appeal: Locate Stolen Peugeot [Found]

[Updated] The police said they are still seeking the public’s assistance in locating a blue Peugeot 207 hatchback that was removed from outside a Devonshire residence this weekend.

A police spokesperson said, “Police are still seeking the public’s assistance in locating a blue Peugeot 207 hatchback bearing license plate number 13354 that was removed from outside an Ocean Avenue, Devonshire residence sometime between 9:30pm Sunday, June 14th and 2:30am Monday, June 15th.

“Members of the public who may have seen this vehicle recently should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”

There has recently been an increase in stolen cars, with at least six cars having been reported stolen over the past few weeks.

Update June 17, 1.16pm: A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating a blue Peugeot 207 hatchback bearing license plate number 13354 that was reported removed from outside an Ocean Avenue, Devonshire residence sometime between 9:30pm Sunday, June 14th and 2:30am Monday, June 15th.

“The vehicle was later found on Tuesday, June 16th in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s parking lot and returned to its rightful owner.”

        I have to agree. The fact cars are stolen, (3 in a week) does make one entertain the possibility of car parts being sought and sold on the “black-market” all for a hell-of-a-lot cheaper prices.
        Where there’s people, there is also crime; supplying the demand.
