Bermuda’s June Klout Social Media Rankings
[Written by Don Burgess]
D’General is in charge! Bermuda Heroes Weekend provided a bump in his monthly Klout score. Jason Sukdeo [aka D’General] picked up three points and joined the growing number of locals in the 70+ plateau. Jason helped organize the highly successful event, and earned a well-deserved spike in his score.
Next month’s scores should see an overall rise in people’s scores as there have been thousands of photos posted from Heroes Weekend.
Singer/songwriter Heather Nova picked up one point to reach 80 — the first time in more than a year Bermuda has had two people have that high of a score.
FOX and WWE commentator John Layfield is the other, and he remains number one with a score of 85. The five-point gap between him and Nova is the smallest margin since the Bermuda Klout rankings have been introduced.
Collie Buddz drops to number three followed by Shari-Lynn Pringle and Carla Zuill at four and five. Ms. Zuill’s score was not available due to technical difficulties and last month’s number was used.
Forbes’ journalist Clare O’Conner gained three points to move into a three-way tie for sixth with Bernews and myself. Premier Michael Dunkley is ninth with a four-way tie for tenth with the Bermuda Tourism Authority, Christopher Famous, Mike Hind and Mr. Sukdeo.
The month’s big movers are Coral Wells and the Hamilton Princess. Ms. Wells helped organize the Bras for a Cause protest and that helped bump her score five points to 67, which puts her in the top 20.
The Hamilton Princess rebranding is paying off as it also picked up five points to join the list at number 32 with 64 points.
All scores were recorded on June 12-13, 2015.
Klout attempts to quantify a person or business social media influence through a variety of platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, among others. The scores run from one to 100 with 40 being average.
