Johnny Barnes Celebrates 92nd Birthday Today
Johnny Barnes is celebrating his 92nd birthday today [June 23], and started his birthday off the same way he has started every day for many years now, by getting up early and waving to people driving into Hamilton, and yelling out “I love you”.
On the occasion of his birthday today, Mr Barnes told Bernews, “I am 92 today — thank god for that!”
“We need to learn how to love one another,” added Mr Barnes. “We need to be kind and courteous. Learn how to look away from self and look to Jesus…”

Hey and just saw Mr.Barnes this morning still driving his car at 92,God in His Holy scriptures promises each of us three score and ten and if by reason we should be given more then we are truly blessed.
So to Mr. Johnny Barnes Sir, you have long past your three score and ten and therefore in the eyes of the creator and of men, you are exceptionally blessed and we are proud to know that you are one of our own.
A Bermudian that has given back in your own special way and help to brighten the days of countless many, who without your greeting and smile with each week day morning, may have had not so good of a day, I know for me when I see you it reminds me that I have a lot to be thankful for, so thank you and all the best to many more Birthdays to come.
