Burchall Appointed Caribbean Association VP
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service today [July 2] announced that Chief Fire Officer Reginald Lloyd Burchall, having recently attended the Caribbean Association of Fire Chiefs Conference [CAFC] in the Dominican Republic, was voted in as the Vice President of the Association.
Fire Service spokesperson, Sergeant Jamal Albuoy said, “The annual event offers an opportunity to share knowledge of experiences, as well as the presentation of both the Junior Officer Leadership Academy and Senior Officer Leadership Academy Courses.
“During these annual meetings, leading industry vendors share new and innovative firefighting equipment in the market.
“Additionally, the attending Chiefs provide expert professional advice, leadership research, disaster response planning and up-to-date information on current fire science and administrative practices.”
CFO Burchall adds, “This is indeed an honor to be able to serve in such a capacity. I am not only committed to improve the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, but also Fire and Rescue Services throughout the Caribbean Region.”
