What’s more interesting is how two polls taken relatively close to one another could produce such vastly different results.

    • Really really Bettty says:

The results of the ratings indicate voting is polarized along racial lines. One is more favorable according to racial demographics.

Bermuda still has a long ways to go. Interesting such a race by the OBA to release another poll, so soon. Must be a slipping of faith within the OBA party ranks and by its supporters. This quick poll is an attempt to address that falling.

Looks like Dunkley is favour by his core support base. Bean is favour by his core base.

Is one seem more favorable overall, the snap shot of polls often depends upon the political climate when it was conducted. Thus The 2 different results from the polls.

Remember Polls are merely a Snap Shot of a particular time in the political climate.

The don’t know Voters leave the option open as well.

      • jt says:

Thanks for the scholarly analysis of the obvious.
As for the poll variances… it is only a “snapshot” so far as the poll results depend on which 400 (or so) agree to participate. Generally why polls in Bermuda shouldn’t carry much weight.

      • pete says:

Race seems to be a cheap opt out when the stark truth hits one squarely in the face.

  2. I and I says:

I was observing the same jt!!! Bermuda wake up!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Vote for Me says:

Polling results depend on the methodology used. It is important for profiles of Bermuda and the Global Research and Strategy Group to release the parameters of their poll. One key aspect is the ‘randomness of selected participants.’

  4. Chaos Theory says:

Why does everyone think polls are even remotely accurate. Just look at the last UK election

  5. Jus' Askin' says:

Election 2017 Polls is what I want to see ;-)

  6. Jus' Askin' says:

You have one that turns a blind eye to what his party is doing and backs them when they are wrong but makes it a point to keep his hands clean so the public will approve of him.
They other that no one can control and will speak up and is not here to be liked but to serve in the best interest of the people of Bermuda.
Outsiders looking in feel that our government is corrupt and our leader is weak.

    • hmmm says:

That is a messed up interpretation. Seek help.

      • Who's Askin' Jus' Askin' says:

I did and now my doctor sees a doctor. ;-)

  7. Starting Point says:

Poll this question “Do you think the incessant polling is annoying, and a turn off to the public”

doubt you will have racial lines then, 100% say yes.

  8. Polls are conducted by those running a business. People run a business to make money and that fact must never be forgotten when considering the results of respective polls.

And,as Jus Askin has implied, the only polls that matter are legitimate polls like elections as they are in fact the only scientific ones. This nonsense about a so called “margin of error”should be put to rest as any poll is merely a good guess at best.

    • The Truth and Nothing but the Truth says:

Poll this Larry, take your fans bed sheet with paint on it down at the junction of Hermitage Rd. and Middle Rd. would ya !! its polluting the country !

  9. navin johnson says:

I believe the other poll was conducted by a current or former Government employee and shows Dunkley and Bean in a virtual tie? wishful thinking by the pollster…

  10. cromwell says:

    This explains a lot!

  11. watching says:

This is funny. Dunkley couldn’t take being on the same level as Bean as the previous poll stated so he had to get another one done and released! funny stuff!

    • hmmm says:

So you think the poll was done overnight….hmmm…it was done in June…this was done before the profiles one was even in the media.

Wake up watching, PLP got you sewn up.

    • Lois Frederick says:

I was one of the people called back in June. Many questions were asked, so expect many more poll results. This particular result sounds much more believable than the previous one.

  12. NOK says:

please call an election ,because they did call or make contact with me or no one in my household so this is BS.

  13. Unbelievable says:

Yes the previous poll was conducted months ago but the results were only release a week or so ago… Hence the timing of its release.

This poll was conducted much more recently than the previous one.

  14. Jurist says:

This poll shows the PLP will never win with Bean as their leader…. The OBA are gaining in the voting column as many Bermudians like Dunkley.

  15. Trulytruly says:

I like breakdown of information that they have provided. This is much more comprehensive than what Profiles provides with their polling results.
