Basketball League: Rim Rockers & Twisters Win
The 2015/16 Cellone Island Basketball League Season continued with a double-header inside the Cedarbridge Gymnasium with 196 points scored on the night.
The evening’s opener saw the Rim Rockers get their first win of the season by defeating the winless Hoop Stars 70- 28. The Rim Rockers were led to victory by Nathan Moore who had a game high 24 points, while Yontz Sutton scored 15 points for the Hoop Stars.
The second game of the night ,which needed overtime to get a winner, saw the Twisters remain undefeated, as they got the better of the Court Kings 52 – 46. Seaward Smith scored 13 points for the Twisters, while Jamie Percell scored a game high 14 points for the Court Kings.
