Court: 31-Year-Old Man Denies Three Charges
In Magistrates Court this morning [Oct 19], a 31-year-old Sandys resident entered a not guilty plea to three charges.
Jahmiko Hayward denied that on 29th November 2014, he possessed cannabis, possessed a metal grinder intended for use with the illegal substance; and between a date unknown and 29th November 2014 had in his possession, $8,000 that he knew to be the proceeds of crime.
The Crown Prosecutor told the Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that the alleged amount of the substance was 54.46 grams with an alleged street value of $2,725.
Mr Hayward’s trial was set for December and he was granted $8,000 bail with a requirement to provide a surety in a like amount.
According to the court records, the defendant’s birthday is actually today.
