Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Luncheon Held
Last week 16 female entrepreneurs were invited to attend an intimate luncheon to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day on November 19th. This event was one of many events organized by the BEDC and Department of E-Commerce for Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The ladies gathered in the Consul General’s formal dining room to share stores, learn from each other and celebrate their successes over a lunch which was hosted by the US Consul General Mary Ellen Koenig and sponsored by Butterfield Bank. Some attendees were blossoming entrepreneurs while others were well-established business owners.
Ms Koenig said, “It was an honor to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day with such a creative and talented group of entrepreneurs.
“The discussion provided an opportunity for the participants to share their stories and compare notes on both their challenges and achievements. Entrepreneurship is clearly thriving here in Bermuda if this group was representative of the level of business skills and activity.”
