Hannover Re 1/2 Marathon & 10k Set For Nov 15
The Bermuda National Athletics Association [BNAA], in partnership with Hannover Re, will host the Hannover Re 1/2 Marathon and 10k on Sunday, November 15, beginning at 8.00am.
BNAA President Donna Watson said, “The BNAA is pleased to once again partner with Hannover Re for this fun and convenient half marathon and 10k race. I look forward to seeing a lot of our star athletes come out for this challenging event. The Half-Marathon route will leave Camden Road, starting in line with Happy Talk Lane. Participants will head west to Trimmingham Hill round-a-bout going into town, entering the Crow Lane round-a-bout and staying in the right lane until reaching the lay-by adjacent to BUEI.
The course will follow through the lay-by onto the left lane heading out of town. Upon reaching Crow Lane, participants will take a left onto Point Finger Road, continuing along Point Finger Road to South Shore junction, taking a left on South Shore Road, following the main road into Tucker’s Town, then turning left onto Paynter’s Road and continuing until the end of Paynter’s round-a-bout turn, heading back to the Camden grounds to the finish line.
The 10k route will leave Camden Road, starting in line with Happy Talk Lane and heading west to the Trimmingham Hill round-a-bout going into town. Participants will enter the Crow Lane round-a-bout, staying in the right lane until reaching the lay-by adjacent to BUEI.
The course will continue through the lay-by onto the left lane heading out of town. Upon reaching Crow Lane, [participants will take a left onto Point Finger Road, continuing along Point Finger Road to South Shore junction, taking a left on South Shore Road, following the main road and turn on McGalls hill, near the top, and heading back to the Camden grounds to the finish line.
Both races start and finish at Tucker’s Property opposite the Botanical Gardens South Road entrance. Registration is online only, and the entry deadline is Friday, November 13; the entry fee is $30.
