Injured Motorcyclist Remains Stable In ICU
Following yesterday’s statement saying that the 33-year-old motorcyclist who was injured in a collision on Crow Lane had been discharged from hospital, the police clarified that he actually remains in the ICU and apologized to the family and friends of the victim for “any distress this inadvertent error may have caused.”
A police spokesperson said, “The 33 year old St. George’s man injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with the kerb along Crow Lane in Pembroke, near the junction with Corkscrew Hill around 2:30am Friday, November 20th remains in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit this morning.
“A police statement released on Sunday, November 22nd stated that he had been discharged from the hospital. However, after further checks with the hospital earlier today, it was confirmed that was not the case.
“We would like to apologise to the family and friends of the victim for any distress this inadvertent error may have caused.
“The investigation regarding this collision continues and any witnesses should contact the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704.”
